  The Hindu lifestyle is governed by ancient beliefs and traditions.  The correct dress for religious activities and social behavior was prescribed by ancient law givers.  There are many subtle variations, however.  The wearing of a particular type of dress will be influenced by the caste (class) of a person.  Women of all castes wear the sari, but the style, ornamentation, and floral motifs used are influenced by the caste of the wearer and the region where the wearer lives.the Indian wedding sareeare often colorful, such as orange, gold, red, green, blue and pink, and are seldom white or ivory. Northern India wedding saree tend to be red, which symbolises auspiciousness, or green, which represents fertility. Wedding dresses in south India are usually white or cream coloured.
DHOTI
The 'pancha' in Telugu, called dhoti in Hindi, 'Laacha' in Punjabi, 'mundu' in Malayalam, 'dhuti' in Bangla, 'veshti' in Tamil, 'dhotar' in Marathi and 'panche' in Kannada, is the traditional garment of men's wear in India. It is a rectangular piece of unstitched cloth, usually around 5 yards long, wrapped about the waist and the legs, and knotted at the waist.In northern India, the garment is worn with a Kurta on top, the combination known simply as "dhoti kurta", or a "dhuti panjabi" in the East. In southern India, it is worn with an angavastram (another unstitched cloth draped over the shoulders) in Tamil Nadu or else with a "chokka"(shirt) in Andhra Pradesh or "jubba" (a local version of kurta). The Dhoti kurta is considered formal wear in India.

This brahmin wediing dress.Iyers are a subsect of South Indian Brahmins and generally speak Tamil. Such weddings are known as kalyaanam or thirumanam in Tamil.Iyer weddings, like other Hindu Wedding.typically last about 2–3 days where it once used to last 7 days. Dress code is usually a well-sewn silk shirt with a Veshti or a kurta for males and Sarees or Madisaar for females.
